Sensory case studies - Taste

The taste of success

Nothing brings people together like good food and drink.

Our taste solutions transform exhibition stands into destinations, creating natural gathering points where business happens over coffee and connections are made around sweet treats. From a morning energy boost to an afternoon pick-me-up, we know how to use taste to your advantage.

These case studies showcase what happens when you give your visitors something worth queuing for… longer conversations, stronger connections and brands that leave a lasting impression.

See how we’ve helped clients serve up taste experiences that do more than satisfy their visitors’ appetites.

LED Group: Guinness bar

LED Group is a leading manufacturer of electrical solutions. At CEF Live, the UK’s premier electrical trade show, it wanted to create a presence that showcased its three brands while creating networking opportunities.

Our solution featured a stunning LED tunnel leading to a central Guinness bar, which became the heart of the massive 17m x 11m stand. The bar hosted presentations, Q&As and on-stage interviews throughout the two-day event, creating a natural gathering point for meaningful conversations with trade customers.

The Guinness bar proved instrumental in driving visitor engagement, providing the perfect springboard for relaxed networking that strengthened existing partnerships and attracted new distributors keen to explore collaboration opportunities.

“I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Exhibit Interactive for high-impact, brand-focused exhibition work.”

Deirdre Howard, Group Marketing Director

Wavin UK: Bespoke popcorn cart

Wavin UK is the country’s leading manufacturer of plastic drainage systems, serving domestic, commercial and industrial sectors with over six decades of expertise. At InstallerSHOW, the UK’s premier event for heating and water professionals, it wanted to create an interactive stand that would showcase its latest innovations to over 30,000 industry delegates.

Our solution included a bespoke popcorn stall with branded cones that became the star attraction. The buttery aroma wafted across the entire venue, drawing curious crowds from neighbouring stands and creating an irresistible appeal that had visitors queuing throughout the event. The popcorn stall proved so popular that supplies ran out before the final day, but not before creating a memorable experience that kept visitors engaged longer, giving Wavin’s team valuable opportunities for product demonstrations and conversations.

“You could smell the popcorn from the other side of the hall. We had installers queueing up all day, which gave our team some brilliant opportunities to chat about our products.”

Newmedica: Pick & mix sweet stall

Newmedica is a leading provider of NHS-funded and private ophthalmology services, operating eye clinics and surgical centres across England, with a mission to change lives through better sight and vision. At 100% Optical, the UK’s largest optical event, it wanted a multifunctional stand that would showcase its latest technologies while providing hospitality for networking.

Our solution included a custom-made pick & mix sweet stand within the large, open exhibition space. The colourful sweet station created an irresistible draw for visitors. The sweets were all Halal and they were coordinated, along with the striped bags they were served in, in Newmedica’s distinctive orange and white brand colourways.

The pick & mix stand became a natural conversation starter, encouraging delegates to linger longer while sampling sweet tuck shop treats. It offered a playful touch that contrasted beautifully with the serious medical technology demonstrations happening elsewhere on the stand. This relaxed atmosphere helped Newmedica’s team build meaningful connections with optical professionals in a comfortable, engaging environment that perfectly reflected its patient-focused approach to care.

“Chris and the team’s creativity, innovation and attention to detail were outstanding, resulting in a stand that perfectly represented our brand and values.”

ROBUS is a global leader in innovative LED lighting solutions, serving over 40 countries through 3,000 stockists with energy-efficient products for commercial and residential projects. At Light + Building, the world’s leading lighting trade show in Frankfurt, it wanted to showcase both ROBUS and sister brand Fusebox to 150,000 international visitors.

Our solution featured an integrated bar and hospitality area complete with beer pumps, chillers, a coffee station and full kitchen facilities. We sourced all the drinks, nibbles and consumables on behalf of the client, creating a premium hospitality experience within the vast exhibition space.

The bar became a natural gathering point where conversations flourished over quality refreshments, helping ROBUS engage with international distributors and partners in a relaxed, professional environment.

“ei’s creativity and unwavering attention to detail brought our vision for our Light & Building exhibition stand to life. We were thrilled with how effortlessly the stand came together.”

Fayrefield Foods: Food displays & cooking demos

Fayrefield Foods is one of the UK’s leading independent suppliers of branded and own-label dairy products, exporting over 70,000 tonnes across 250 product lines to more than 40 countries annually. At Anuga, the world’s largest food and drinks trade show in Cologne, it wanted a fresh, interactive presence to showcase its latest product ranges to international buyers.

Our solution featured integrated product display cabinets built into a bespoke illuminated tree structure, alongside a full working kitchen where Fayrefield’s chefs cooked snacks for delegates and delivered live culinary demonstrations. The kitchen became the heart of the stand, drawing visitors into Fayrefield’s world of flavours through appetising aromas and engaging cooking displays.

The combination of accessible product showcases and live tastings created an immersive experience that significantly boosted brand recognition, helping delegates understand the quality and innovation behind Fayrefield’s extensive range.

“Your attention to detail is always second to none, while your expertise in creating a space that truly represents our brand and ethos is immensely appreciated.”
