The LED Group
Liverpool Visitor Centre
The Client
The LED Group is one of the world’s largest lighting companies. Founded in Dublin in 1984, it has offices and distribution centres spanning the UK, Australia, China, France, Benelux, South Africa, New Zealand and the Middle East.
Its flagship brand, ROBUS, has built a strong reputation for energy-efficient commercial and residential lighting solutions, sold through the electrical wholesale market in more than 40 countries.
Its sister brands, FuseBox and ATC, make up the wider group of companies, which now employs more than 200 people, has more than 3,000 stockists worldwide and has established itself as a truly global operation.
The Project
Our Client Services Director, Chris, led this project.
We’ve worked with ROBUS and the LED Group on several projects before, having designed and delivered bespoke exhibition stands for various events and also repurposing some of these elements and displays at its purpose-built Customer Visitor Centre in Dublin.
For this project, we were tasked with reusing elements from its stand at CEF Live at its newly-opened visitor centre and showroom in Liverpool.
Although we didn’t get to see the showroom’s space before we designed the stand, we knew the dimensions, so we had to ensure its essential elements worked at both the event and in their new home.
The Solution
The new visitor centre is a long, narrow space with low ceilings, so we had to design the CEF Live stand with this in mind. Because of this, we utilised rectangular standalone display panels in landscape orientation instead of the more traditional portrait orientation. After the event, we stored these at our workshop until they could be transported to the new centre for the fit-out.
Along with the free-standing and wall-mounted graphic panels, we recreated the multicoloured LED arch that’s been used to great effect on previous stands, complete with a new a mirrored backdrop and logo.
We created frosted window displays with ROBUS, FuseBox and ATC logos throughout the venue, along with drop ceiling sections with integrated downlights and LED strip lighting. We also created a branded panel surround for a wall-mounted LED screen in a screened-off meeting room area, and helped the client source bespoke furniture and drinks stations to give the whole venue a high-end finish.
The Impact
The new Liverpool Visitor Centre has given the LED Group a permanent, professional space to showcase its three brands to customers, prospects and partners, without the time pressures of a trade show environment.
By reusing and adapting elements from the CEF Live stand, we’ve given the centre an on-brand, high-spec look and feel that reflects the quality of the ROBUS, FuseBox and ATC product ranges.
The multicoloured LED arch is always a crowd pleaser, while the frosted window displays and integrated lighting create an immersive environment that tells the LED Group’s brand story from the moment visitors walk through the door. The result is a unique space that works as hard as its exhibition stand.
Testimonial
“We’ve worked with Exhibit Interactive on several projects now, and they’ve delivered again with our new Liverpool Visitor Centre.
“The brief wasn’t straightforward. We needed a stand that would work at CEF Live and then find a new home in a long, narrow space with low ceilings. Chris and the team got their heads around the challenge quickly and came up with a solution that worked brilliantly in both settings.
“The finished centre looks fantastic. It’s a space we’re genuinely proud to bring customers into, and it’s already proving its worth as a tool for showcasing our brands and products.”
