Jewson Partnership Solutions
and George Boyd

The Client

Jewson Partnership Solutions (JPS) works with public sector and social housing providers to create a bespoke, one-stop supply chain solution that allows them to maintain and develop their property networks more efficiently. Its sister brand, George Boyd, has an impressive 175 years of industry experience in distributing architectural ironmongery and commercial door sets.

Both brands are part of STARK Building Materials UK, one of Europe’s most renowned and trusted construction materials suppliers. It operates 14 brands – including Jewson, the UK’s best-known builders’ merchant – and more than  600 dedicated retail branches and distribution centres.

The Project

We’ve worked with both STARK and Jewson on several projects in the past few years.

For this one, we were tasked with creating a reusable modular exhibition stand to promote the JPS and George Boyd brands at several trade shows at different venues across the UK.

The events included four Jewson Live on Tour roadshows, Housing 2024 at Manchester Central, and Procurex at the SEC in Glasgow.

The shows are among the biggest in the UK’s housing and construction sectors. The gave STARK the chance to showcase both brands to visitors, explain how they work together, and highlight some of their solutions to local authority and housing association buyers.

The Solution

We created a simple open stand space with a double-sided central wall and shelving unit, which served as a divider between the two halves of the stand. Each side had a custom-built archway over the top of the stand.

One side was branded with JPS’ distinctive blue logo, colourways and bespoke fluorescent lighting. The other was decked out in George Boyd’s contrasting red, which served as a neat way to separate both sides.

The JPS side featured an interactive touchscreen unit featuring digital marketing content and a user survey designed by us. It also had an informal seating area for networking and meetings.

The George Boyd side also featured its own seating area, along with some integrated product displays built into the central wall.

We built the stand using T3 system components because they are easy to transport, store and assemble. It meant STARK could use the same stand at multiple shows without having to worry about the logistics, as we took care of everything.

The Impact

Our innovative dual-sided stand design proved to be a central talking point across all the shows it went to, with visitors impressed by how it showcased both brands in harmony.

The interactive elements on the JPS side resonated with attendees, generating valuable survey responses and facilitating meaningful conversations.

Because the stand was modular, it delivered exceptional value across multiple shows,  maintaining its professional appearance and structural integrity throughout.

Its clever design meant the client could maximise their exhibition investment. And our logistics support ensured they could focus on engaging with visitors rather than worrying about setting up and taking down their stand at each event.

Testimonial

“Working with Joe and the team at Exhibit Interactive was a pleasure, as always.

“They understood exactly what we needed: a flexible solution that would work across multiple shows while maintaining JPS’s and George Boyd’s unique identities.

“Their attention to detail was spot-on, from the contrasting branded lighting and colour schemes to the cleverly integrated product displays.

“It’s always a bonus to work with such friendly, genuine people who really get our brand and business and what we’re trying to achieve.”
