Case studies: our successful stands at Solar & Storage Live
Learning from successful exhibitors can provide valuable insights for your own exhibition strategy. Here are some standout examples of work we’ve done at previous Solar & Storage Live shows, demonstrating how effective stand design and execution can lead to impressive results.
DEKS
DEKS is one of the world’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of high-quality roof flashing solutions for the construction, drainage, roofing and plumbing industries.
We worked with DEKS at a previous event and they were really pleased with the creativity and quality of their stand. They wanted to take it to the next level with a reusable modular stand with bespoke elements for use at several trade events, including Solar & Storage Live.
We created an adaptable, visually appealing modular exhibition stand, using the T3 system, with custom-printed walls and banner inserts. It featured an integrated LED touchscreen playing branded corporate content, and a product demonstration plinth with built-in storage. The stand also had bespoke LED lighting, flooring and furniture to create a small meeting and networking area in its centre.
Our stand made a huge impact at Solar & Storage Live. Its clever use of space, with product demo and networking areas, invited visitors to explore, connect and enhance their understanding of DEKS’s vital role in the construction and renewable energy sectors.
Ollie Janes, Managing Director, EMEA – DEKS, said: “A heartfelt thanks to Chris and the team at Ei for their exceptional work on our modular exhibition stand. Their creativity and attention to detail have been pivotal in elevating our brand presence at key trade events.
“From the adaptable design to the interactive features, every aspect was meticulously crafted, reflecting our commitment to quality and innovation. The process was seamless, thanks to their efficient planning and logistics. Their hard work and dedication made our participation stress-free and significantly enhanced engagement with our audience.”
CEF
CEF – short for City Electrical Factors Ltd – is the UK’s largest multi-channel electrical distributor, operating a network of 390 stores and an ecommerce website.
Ei was recommended to CEF for this project by an event organiser for whom we’ve done previous work. CEF wanted to showcase its innovative range of renewables solutions to the trade at Solar & Storage Live.
We created a sustainable modular exhibition stand with custom print and cladding, and integrated LED screens and product displays embedded into its walls. It also featured a rigged overhead banner branded with reusable graphics, a driving simulator game, bespoke bar furniture for informal networking and custom flooring.
We had to build the stand around one of the exhibition hall’s supporting columns, making a feature of this by extending an LED wall around it to maximise the visual impact.
The stand made a memorable impression thanks to how it looked. Its distinctive pattern and interactive video content created a sense of fluidity within the stand that drew people in as soon as they entered the venue.
CEF’s on-stand team was kept busy throughout the two days with a constant stream of visitors and enquiries, while the driving simulator proved to be a big draw and a crowd favourite.
Mike Gadd, Renewables Division Director at CEF, said: “Solar & Storage Live is always a busy, bustling event with plenty of people interacting, so we had to do something out of the ordinary to capture people’s attention. Standing out in a crowded exhibition hall and making an impact on visitors is a challenge at every event we attend, but the stand Ei created for us really helped to put us on everyone’s radar.
“The concept of the stand was well thought out, and the design was executed perfectly. The unusually-shaped video walls looked so different from anything else, while the interactive game proved a real hit, drawing people in and keeping them on the stand.
“Chris and the Ei team took care of everything for us on the day, so we didn’t have to worry about a thing, which was just as well, as our renewables team was kept busy the whole time by the number of people visiting us. We adored the stand and can’t wait to see it again at our next show.”
