DEKS at Solar & Storage Live
The Client
DEKS is one of the world’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of high-quality roof flashing solutions for the construction, drainage, roofing and plumbing industries. Established in the UK in 2003, but with a history stretching back to 1947, it distributes leading brands to a network of retailers, builders’ merchants and ecommerce stores across Europe.
Its market-leading products include Dektite™, Seldek and Rapid Flash rubber roof flashings, Fast Flash and Perform lead-free flashing, EPVC pipe couplings, safe surface water drainage products and solar panel flashings, brushes and drains.
The Project
We met the DEKS team at the suppliers’ meeting for CEF Live when it took one of our simple stand solutions for that event. They were really pleased with the creativity and quality of the stand and wanted to take it to the next level with a reusable modular stand with bespoke elements for use at several trade events over the 12 months.
The stand made its debut at Solar & Storage Live. The annual event, at the NEC in Birmingham, is the UK’s largest renewable energy exhibition for buyers and installers of solar systems. Thousands of delegates visited the exhibition, which featured more than 450 of the world’s leading manufacturers of solar systems and technologies.
The stand will be going to similar events, including Solar & Storage London, Solar Solutions in Amsterdam, and Intersolar Europe in Munich.
The Solution
Our brief was to create an adaptable, visually appealing modular exhibition stand to help DEKS showcase several of its brands and products.
The stand uses the T3 system, with custom-printed walls and banner inserts. It features an integrated LED touchscreen playing branded corporate content, which can be tailored to each event, and a product demonstration plinth with built-in storage.
The stand had solid, laminated product display panels on each end, which the client came to our warehouse to fit out with products. They were carpet-lined and on castors, making them easy to store, transport and install at each show without disturbing or damaging the products.
The stand also had bespoke LED lighting, flooring and furniture to create a small meeting and network area in its centre.
We designed the stand to be adapted according to the available floor space at each event and installed in just a day. We also took care of all the transport and logistics on behalf of the client, including handling all the export documentation needed to get the stand and products out of the UK to the European events.
The Impact
Our stand made a huge impact at the events it’s already been showcased at, instantly capturing delegates’ attention. Its cutting-edge design, with vibrant custom-printed walls, presents a visually appealing and informative experience.
The integrated LED touchscreen showcases DEKS’s rich history and diverse product range and provides an interactive and engaging way to learn about its product offerings.
The clever use of space, with product demo and networking areas, invites visitors to explore, connect and enhance their understanding of DEKS’s vital role in the construction and renewable energy sectors.
It’s also never worked with anyone who could handle all the event logistics, meaning its team could turn up at each show with everything in place and enjoy a stress-free event.
