The FIT Show
The Client
Saint-Gobain Glass designs, manufactures and supplies glass and glazing solutions that deliver sustainability, comfort and performance. It’s a brand that cares about better construction for people and the planet.
All its products comply with the latest building regulations and the demands of the Future Homes Standard 2025, and are suitable for domestic and commercial windows, doors, facades and interior design projects. Its Planitherm Comfort range is used widely in the door and window industry, providing many benefits, including energy efficiency, noise reduction, reduced overheating, enhanced security and furniture fade protection.
With vast experience and expertise in designing and delivering architectural glazing projects, sustainability is a big part of its DNA.
The Project
As a global brand with a firm commitment to sustainability, Saint-Gobain Glass tasked us with creating a reusable stand to help it maximise its presence at FIT Show 2023.
FIT Show is the UK’s leading annual exhibition for the window, door, hardware and flat glass industry. Taking place over two days at the NEC, in Birmingham, the event brings together leading suppliers, buyers and thought leaders to showcase the latest innovations, get industry updates from key players, and network.
Saint-Gobain Glass sponsored and exhibited at the event and wanted to show visitors to its stand how to maximise their sales opportunities by having a different conversation with their customers about the comfort benefits of glass. It also wanted to showcase its latest product innovations and glazing solutions to existing and potential clients.
The Solution
Saint-Gobain Glass wanted its bespoke stand to be attractive and practical, demonstrating its commitment to sustainability to help it make the most of its event sponsorship and space-only booking.
We created huge, branded back and side walls for the open space, with custom-printed graphics showcasing its key brand messages and the benefits of the Planitherm range. We also built a bespoke branded house structure similar to the one we did previously for its sister brand, Saint-Gobain Interior Solutions.
The stand featured digital elements, including an LED wall playing corporate video and two touchscreens with interactive content. There was also a reception desk with a sample display area and bespoke furniture to allow for informal client conversations and networking.
At the back of the stand, we incorporated a small storage area with shelving and refrigeration for light snacks and drinks, which were served to stand visitors throughout the event.
The Impact
The stand was a huge success and proved a big draw among visitors, thanks to its prominent position and stunning design, which could be seen from across the exhibition hall.
It gave the client a huge presence at the event to help them maximise their event sponsorship and deliver their message to the industry delegates in attendance.
Because most of the stand’s elements were prefabricated in our workshop, it allowed for a quick and easy installation by our on-site team. The bespoke house structure was reusable, allowing the client to repurpose it for future events and use it in its UK showrooms.
And our detailed project planning and management meant the Saint-Gobain Glass team could enjoy a stress-free event, knowing that we took care of every aspect of their stand.
Testimonial
“The FIT Show is the perfect vehicle for us to talk to the industry about the latest product innovations and the solutions available today that meet required window performances. The stand ticked many boxes for us. It’s sustainable and eye-catching, which is what we wanted, but it’s also very interactive and helps us tell our brand story differently.
“We were looking to take a more consultative approach at this event, rather than the message being too feature & benefit-led, and the stand helped us share that kind of narrative. The whole team at Ei are also a pleasure to work with. They took the time to understand our brief before coming up with a creative solution that gave us what we were looking for.
“Nothing was too much trouble in the run-up to the event, and on the day, they were there on-site looking after things to make sure everything went off without a hitch, and the stand was ready for us to just turn up and use.”
