Hoffmann Group, J&S Engineering and IEMCA at MACH 2024

The Clients

Hoffmann Group UK is Europe’s leading supplier of industrial tooling, equipment and PPE. With over 90,000 products available, it helps customers become more productive and efficient by simplifying their procurement of tools, consumables and workshop accessories.

J&S Engineering Ltd is one of the UK’s leading providers of waste material treatment, management and recycling solutions for the machine tooling industry. Its products help manufacturers improve their swarf management, enhance their oil and coolant recycling, and clean their machines more efficiently.

And IEMCA designs and produces automatic bar feeders for lathes, machining centres, grinders, gear cutters and other machine tools. Founded in 1961, it has grown into the global leader. Its range of applications for the turning industry is the widest available in the market.

The Project

MACH is one of Europe’s largest trade shows for the manufacturing and engineering technology sector. The biennial event attracts around 25,000 visitors and more than 600 exhibitors, making it a leading platform to connect UK manufacturers and decision-makers with suppliers of new technology, equipment, services and processes.

This year’s event took place at the NEC, in Birmingham. We were tasked with creating exhibition stands for Hoffmann, J&S Engineering and IEMCA to help them stand out from the crowd and make a memorable impression. J&S Engineering very kindly recommended us to IEMCA, which was looking for an event partner to help support its UK launch at this year’s MACH.

With our vast experience and understanding of exhibiting in the manufacturing sector, we helped all three clients make the right impact in this competitive industry.

The Solution

We’ve worked with Hoffmann Group before. Building on the success of previous projects, we designed and built an open and inviting modular exhibition stand space, using beMatrix components, to help it display and demonstrate its product range and hold informal meetings and networking with visitors to the stand.

Their space was split into two areas, all designed in the client’s distinctive orange and white brand colourways. The exterior featured product displays and an interactive branded touchscreen allowing visitors to browse Hoffmann’s online catalogue. The open-plan interior featured further product displays, a seated networking and hospitality area and an integrated LEDSKIN video wall playing corporate video.

J&S Engineering is another longstanding client, who we’ve worked with since 2020. Its bespoke stand continues to evolve. It needed plenty of space to showcase its various machines at this year’s MACH show, but we still managed to enhance its stand’s design with slat walls edged with blue LED lights.

Digital touchscreen totems loaded with videos provided access to the client’s website for technical information, eliminating the need for printed literature. Many of the stand’s elements will be stored and redesigned for the next MACH event, in 2026, making it a sustainable investment.

We also created a bespoke exhibition stand for IEMCA. Its high-gloss white finish provided a contemporary Italian feel, with high-level branding in 3D lettering.

Clean, modern lines provided a perfect backdrop for a demonstration area with two working machines and a large networking area with tables and chairs. Widescreen rolling videos provided the ideal introduction for its UK launch.

The Impact

The stands we created for these three valued clients had a profound impact on their presence and successes at MACH.

Our creative designs enabled our clients to make a lasting impression on visitors, standing out among the hundreds of exhibitors vying for attention. The stands provided an inviting space for them to engage with potential clients, have meaningful conversations and build relationships that could lead to future opportunities.

Moreover, they served as a powerful marketing tool, reinforcing each company’s brand identity and positioning them as industry leaders in their respective fields.

Creating a memorable experience for visitors helped Hoffmann, J&S Engineering and IEMCA maximise their return on investment and achieve their goals at MACH, setting the stage for continued growth and success in the competitive manufacturing sector.

Testimonial

“This was our second time working with Exhibit Interactive. Coming back together with Gaye and their creative team was seamless, because they now have full knowledge and experience of our stand and what we need it to do given all the machinery we have to showcase.

“Despite our initial worries about having a stand space with no walls, they nailed the brief straight away. We were once again extremely impressed with how well-managed the whole process was through to the final delivery and build of the stand.

“MACH is a wonderful opportunity to get together with colleagues and friends across the industry and present our brand and products to new customers. It’s essential that our stand provides a welcoming space that can accommodate both selling and entertaining. EI understood this perfectly and factored in everything we needed to facilitate that into our 7m x 11m stand space.

“We received many compliments across the show about how light and well laid out our stand was. It can also be stored and reused in two years with minimal changes – a big sustainability win in line with our business and values. We can’t wait to collaborate with Exhibit Interactive again once the build-up phase starts for MACH2026.”
