VitrA at London Design Week
The Client
VitrA is a global bathroom and sanitaryware products manufacturer. Founded in Turkey in 1942, it’s grown to become one of Europe’s largest producers of bathroom products.
VitrA is known for its innovative designs, quality materials and sustainability practices. It offers a wide range of products, including toilets, bidets, basins, bathtubs, shower systems and bathroom furniture. The company has won numerous awards, including the Red Dot Design Award, the iF Design Award, and the Good Design Award.
VitrA also operates a global network of showrooms and design centres where customers can experience its products and get design inspiration for their bathroom projects.
The Project
We’ve worked with VitrA before. Following the success of our previous collaboration, when we created a bespoke exhibition stand for the HIX trade show, we were tasked with creating a design-led stand for London Design Week 2023.
London Design Week features a series of events across the capital, providing a platform for designers, architects, manufacturers and other professionals in the industry to showcase their work, share ideas and network.
VitrA took part in an event called ‘Spring’s Unmissable Interiors’, hosted at Design Centre London, in the affluent Chelsea Harbour. It wanted to use the event to launch its latest collection in the Liquid range, created in partnership with renowned British designer Tom Dixon.

The Solution
VitrA wanted their space to stand out in a room full of other luxury brands and high-end suppliers. We collaborated with award-winning interior stylist Emma Jane Palin, to develop the initial concept, interpret her creative brief and translate it into a viable final design.
We created a simple bathroom-themed bespoke stand with fitted appliances and part-tiled walls in VitrA’s brand colours. Visitors could move product samples around the stand and place them in various areas to see how they may look in situ. We also created an interactive corkboard where customers could stick wallpaper, fabrics and tile sample swatches, to see how they would look alongside each other.
We pre-built and fitted out the stand in our workshop, and it was assembled on-site by a two-person installation team. We used sustainable water-based, low-toxin, solvent-free paint from a specialist supplier to decorate the stand. The paint was made-to-order and ethically produced to minimise waste and environmental impact.
The Impact
VitrA’s stand was a huge success and proved to be one of the week’s biggest draws.
Although there was no technology on the stand, it was still a really interactive space, allowing visitors to create their own displays of VitrA’s most popular products for an immersive, tactile experience.
Our detailed project planning and on-site management helped VitrA’s team enjoy a stress-free event, safe in the knowledge that every aspect of their stand, from installation to takedown, was taken care of.
Testimonial
“London Design Week is a key event in the annual interior design calendar. So, it was crucial to have a presence there that portrayed the VitrA brand and product collections in a way that suited the interior design audience.”
“We were all delighted with the creative concept and final stand design that Exhibit Interactive developed, alongside our designer Emma Jane Palin.
“Incorporating sustainability into the stand was a key factor for us. The fact that they delivered a stand with so many sustainable and reusable elements, right down to the smallest details like the paint, was great.
“And even though we didn’t have any tech on the stand, they still managed to make it an interactive experience for visitors and showcase our new Liquid collection products in the best light. Chris and the team were also a pleasure to work with. Just like last time, they took care of everything and made it easy from start to finish.”
